After all these years

After all these years

Wednesday Word

Wednesday Word

I love you. You’re my strength.

A rock.

A fortress.

In you, I am safe.
You shield me.

You’re strong enough to save me.
I call out and you’re there.
Distance doesn’t hinder things with you.

That’s why I love you.
When things got tough and I was entangled, you were there.

You give me undivided, devoted attention every single time.

Your presence is tangible.

In the mess and the mire, you are prepared to get your hands dirty.

You reach down and in.
You lead me.

I can trust you.

Well, I’m still learning how to trust you.
You support me.

You delight in me.
You reward and restore me.

I follow you.
You remain faithful and pure even though you spend your time with me. I am still a novice in faithfulness and feel like a rookie in purity.

You light the lamp that’s in my hand.

You illuminate the darkness just because of who you are.
I love you.

You’re my strength.

A rock.

A fortress.

With you, I am safe.
You are perfect, I can confidently say this.

You shield me.

You protect me.
You arm me with strength.

You make my ways perfect.
With you, I am as sure footed as a deer.

You enable me to stand on mountain heights.
You train and strengthen me.
I love you.

You’re my strength.

A rock.

A fortress.

In you, I am safe.
You give me your shield of victory.

You support me.

Your help makes me great.
You live!

You are my salvation!
I love you.

You’re my strength.

A rock.

A fortress.

In you, I am safe.

Don’t lie to yourself

Don’t lie to yourself

Too often we are asking God for clarity about certain relationships and the answer is right before our eyes. We ask God to make it clear…and He does.

And we ask again, please Father let me know, and He does! However, because we desire our will so desperately, we fail to accept God’s truth concerning certain relationships.
Don’t ignore what God is telling you
One thing I can promise you is if you truly seek His face regarding any relationship, He will make His will known unto you, read Ephesians 5:17.

It is not God’s will to keep you in the dark. In His Word, He reminds us that His people will know the light and not be kept in the dark, refer to John 12:46. But you have to understand, God will not force His will upon you. He gives us a warning before the great fall. It is our choice whether to heed the warning or continue on to the great fall.
Trust Him.
Proverbs 3:5-6 puts it best. “Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and lean not to your own understanding. Acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths.”

See, when God gives us a red light, it is for our best interest. For this reason, it makes no sense running the red because we are bound to get hurt or even injured. Psalm 84:11 reminds us that God will not withhold any good thing from us. So you don’t have to question a rightful relationship, if you are seeking God first, He will give you a peace to move forward or warn you to move into a different direction.”

Glorious inner strength

“My response is to get down on my knees before the Father, this magnificent Father who parcels out all heaven and earth. I ask him to strengthen you by his Spirit—not a brute strength but a glorious inner strength—that Christ will live in you as you open the door and invite him in. And I ask him that with both feet planted firmly on love, you’ll be able to take in with all followers of Jesus the extravagant dimensions of Christ’s love. Reach out and experience the breadth! Test its length! Plumb the depths! Rise to the heights! Live full lives, full in the fullness of God.”‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭3:14-19‬ ‭MSG‬‬

Broken hearted?

Broken hearted?

He heals the broken-hearted and bandages their wounds.

He counts the stars and calls them all by name.

How great is our Lord! His power is absolute! His understanding is beyond comprehension!

The Lord supports the humble…

…the Lord’s delight in those who fear him, those who put their hope in his unfailing love.

Taken from Psalm 147, NLT

Take your broken heart to the Lord, He knows how to heal it. Don’t think of ways that you can self-medicate or hide the wounds. Self- medication is a result of fear and fear leads to a misdiagnosis   Misdiagnosis can lead to addiction, as you haven’t received the right prescription from The Physician.

God is more than capable of healing your heart and binding up the wounds in His love, mercy and grace – He calls the stars out by name and not one of them are missing.

Trust in His awesome power and trust in His understanding.

He will support you as He heals you. He will lift your head when it feels too heavy. He will prop you up with His staff and comfort you as He leads you beside peaceful streams.

Fear God and don’t fear the brokenness within you. Put all of your hope in His unfailing love. Don’t cling to the love of people because they can’t carry the weight of your expectations. And you can’t carry the weight of their expectations either.

Cast all of your worries onto The Lord because He cares for you.

He is pleased to do a new thing

He is pleased to do a new thing

When no man on earth could understand

Your ways are higher

Your thoughts are wider

Love came like madness

It makes no sense but this is grace

I know You’re with me in this place

Here Now

Still my heart

Let Your voice be all that I hear now

Fix my eyes on the things that I cannot see now

Faith makes a fool of what makes sense

Grace found my heart where logic ends

Walking by faith doesn’t make sense but we can be confident that God is with us in the Now. It is a challenge because our feet are in the Now and the temptation is to fix our eyes on the right now. When we do this, it’s easy to get discouraged or frustrated.

I’m not saying that we should be oblivious to the Now and irrationally day dream. What I am encouraging is that we look at God in our Now and not the challenges, disappointments and struggles.

We have to be aware of His presence in our present circumstance. It’s important that we are renewing our minds in the Now, engaging with His word and relying on His Holy Spirit. We must not stop seeking Him today. When we seek Him and meditate on who He is, we have the ability to road block anxiety, doubt, fear and worry – meaning that these emotions cannot set up camp in our Now.

God always give us grace and ease in the Now and it’s up to us to accept and receive this reality. We must give our hearts to God in the Now. Our natural tendency is to become apathetic, complain and entertain defeating thoughts from the Critic. But instead we must focus on embracing His reassurance in the Now and let Him lift our eyes to behold His majesty. In the Now, we should be dressed in the armour given to us by The Lord and taking up the garment of praise and leaving last season’s sackcloth behind.

We’ve got to look expectantly at what God has prepared for us and let His truth eradicate our restlessness – as His love casts out fear. It’s important that in the Now, we forget about what didn’t go according to plan but focus on making sure you walk humbly before the Designer so that His workmanship is displayed.

No matter what the Now looks like, we are always representing the Designer – He has a collection that He wants to present to the world and you are a crucial part of it.

Every model knows that when you’re on a catwalk you must focus on the end of the path and not be fixated on the audience. When you look at the audience allow yourself to be subjected to their posture eg the disinterested man on the front row or the woman who is whispering to her friend and pointing.

On this Walk, we must remember that we’ve received a personal revelation and confirmation from Him. The frustration comes when no one else can see what you see or feel the breath of the Holy Spirit. No one else can hear your heartbeat and breath quicken as you step out in faith one more time  but the Father does. The Critic may say that God has abandoned you or that the dream won’t materialise but you look to the Father in the audience and let His smile reassure. He smiles because you are clothed in the righteousness of His Son; Immanuel, Jesus, The Anointed One.

As you walk in the Now, remember the hours spent in the studio as He gave you a new garland for your neck and told you over and over again that you are precious and chosen. Listen to the Counselor who reminds you that although your Now makes you feel worthless – you are worth more than all the silver and gold on this planet.

It’s time to declutter and to look into the mirror of His word, let the words wash over you and let your heart and mind soak in them.

The Designer knows what He is doing- even though it seems unconventional, He is a pioneer and always brings something new to the table. In every season He does exceedingly and abundantly more than we could, ask, think or imagine.

He is pleased to do a new thing – Now, let Him have His way.

Give Him the opportunity to display His glory and when the reporters will ask you for a statement you can say ‘no eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind can comprehend – what He has planned’.

Know all of this Here Now.
